If you love to nature hike, camp out, or do some trekking with your group, consider the Stokes State Forest, which is sure to give you a panoramic and breathtaking view from Sunrise Mountain. The view encompasses New Jersey’s pastoral farmland to the east and the mountain ridges and undeveloped forests to the west.

The forest park is open daily from sunrise to sunset.

Explore the wetlands of the Meadowlands District and cruise along the Hackensack River aboard a pontoon boat. During the boat tour, you will learn more about the salt marshes, the shore birds, and the Lenni Lenape Indians, among other things.
